Drawing from more than two decades in print journalism, Parallax Communications brings a new brand of public and media relations to Inland Southern California. Its straightforward approach is geared toward those who receive press releases and story pitches – the media. The strategy includes turnkey stories, photos and graphics, source lists and an understanding of those who receive the information. The result – more story placements and better visibility for clients, who include Mission Oaks National Bank, Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association, City of Murrieta, Mount Palomar Winery, Temecula Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau, Cutting Edge Marketing and RANCON Group.
Don has a BA degree from Villanova University in humanities science and a BA degree from California State University, Northridge in journalism. He worked for the (Riverside, CA) Press-Enterprise, Orange County Register and Los Angeles Daily News. Don received an award from the regional Society of Professional Journalists for his articles on Pierce’s Disease and its impact on Temecula’s grape-growing industry. At The Press-Enterprise he served as chairman of the Senior Writers and a member of the Senior Reporters committee responsible for upgrading the quality of the paper. His articles have appeared in Inland Empire magazine, Pechanga Play, Business Facilities, Bank Investor and RV Business.
